According to DepEd Sec. Leonor Briones, they are already fast-tracking the release of the salary of almost 1 million DepEd employees for the months of March and April. Although, of course, most of them have already received their salary for the month of March.
Sec. Briones explained that this is to take care of the welfare of their employees amidst the current crisis the country is facing against COVID-19.
DepEd also fast tracks the release of their contractual and job order personnel. Meanwhile, DepEd is now waiting for the decision of the Department of Finance regarding the release of the clothing allowance and the performance-based bonus for the fiscal year 2018.
