In the latest TV interview with the GSIS Chairman, Rolando Macasaet, he gave some updates on the calamity or emergency loans that the agency is still working on to provide additional assistance to all its active members in this time of crisis.
"Ang calamity loan ay P20,000 per employee, ang gagawin ko 'dyan igan ay inihahanda ko muna ang imprakstaktura nyan at ang agreement to the bank kasi this will be the first time na we will be launching this nationwide," Macasaet said.
He explains that the calamity or emergency loan is usually given to specific provinces hit by natural calamities. Now that the country is under the state of calamity, Macasaet assures that members will be able to avail the said loan in an online basis as well.
"We will be doing this emergency loan online also," he added.
Macasaet asks for a little more time since they have limited access becuase of the skeletal workforce they have at the moment due to ECQ.
Furthermore, he assures all the GSIS members that he will release an official announcement regarding the emergency loan as soon as possible.
