Caloocan City Representative Edgar Erice proposed for another 30-day enhanced community quarantine as he stressed that the country continues to grapple with the real statistics on COVID-19 in our communities.
According to Rep. Erice, the current 30-day quarantine will be deemed useless in the fight against COVID-19 if there is no extension.
"Science, the experience of other countries and common sense would dictate that the Philippine government should extend the enhanced community quarantine for another 30 days as we continue to grapple with hard facts on the real statistics of COVID-19 spread in our communities," Erice said.
Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, however, said that the government has yet to decide if whether or not the enhanced community quarantine will be extended or expanded to other areas.
