Updates on the Release of PBB 2018 and Loan Payment Moratorium

DepEd Undersecretary for Finance, Annalyn M. Sevilla, shares some important UPDATES and INFOMATION on the "moratorium" of loan payments and the status of release of the long-awaited Performance-Based Bonus for Fiscal Year 2018.

Sevilla also assures that the department is working really hard to help all DepEd employees in this challenging time.

Here is the complete update from the official Facebook page of Usec. Sevilla:

Updates and info for sharing today:

1. Sec LMB approved the recommendation of the DepEd National Provident Fund Board to grant moratorium on loan payment for all PF loans with an effect of extension on loan terms, without interest. Pls wait for the official issuance on this for more details.

2. We have been negotiating with GSIS on the “moratorium” of loan payments as well. We are waiting for a positive response on this. Again, let’s wait for GSIS to officially announce result of our request/negotiation.

3. We will meet and negotiate with all other PLIs tomorrow to stress how the deped APDS program will be more responsive and beneficial to all concerned employees (for those who will be engaged in the processing of the refund and adjustment in payroll and program; plus most specially to the employees/borrowers). We also hope for positive response of our partner PLIs on this. So we hope you will understand why we don’t want to automatically apply the refund of loan payments for April as we are working for a BETTER arrangement for our employees.

4. Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has evaluated (on first-come first-served basis) the PBB ranking and performance reports of the following regions: RO 2, 5 and 12.
Here is message I got today:
“Mam, 3 ROs na ang na process namin... Deped Ro 2, 5 and 12. Mag issue po ng saro/nca ang dbm ros concerned po regarding dito” - DBM Central Office

Thank you DBM and for the DepEd personnel who will work in the processing of the PBB pay. Don’t worry, we are also following up for other regions and the request for reconsideration for eligibility to grant PBB for non school-based personnel too.

Ingat ng husto sa mga backliners natin na pumapasok araw-araw to make all these things possible for us. Salamat sa inyo.

Caveat:
Hindi ito paasa, hindi din pa PR... deped is working hard to find ways and means to help you during this time of crisis.
I’m doing this to update/inform you and help you to believe in the system and procedures that are working in your department, and within the whole government. I am hopeful that our PLIs will cooperate too.

This is the spirit of Bayanihan. And I believe that we in DepEd, particularly our school-based personnel, know how we can do our share in the bayanihan.

Blessed Monday to all.
🙏🙏🙏
