70 new COVID-19 cases in schools recorded in France a week after reopening



The government of France has recorded 70 new COVID-19 cases linked to schools a week after they reopened it for more than 1 million students.

France was under lockdown for almost 2 months and they started to cope up with this crisis by opening their economy including the schools.

Around 40,000 preschools and primary schools were reopened with classes only limited to 15 students.



According to their Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer, these 70 new cases were found within a week of class resumption. But he did not specify whether these new cases were among the students or the teachers.

Right after this incident, some of the schools were immediately shut down. France now has more than 180 thousand Coronavirus Cases with more than 28 thousand deaths.
