DepEd Sec. Leonor Briones said on a live TV interview dated June 4, 2019, that the promotion of public school teachers should be automatic every 3 years and should be merit-based.
In an interview in DZMM with Ted Failon, Sec. Briones was asked regarding the salary increase of public school teachers and explained that the said increase will have a huge economic effect on the country.
However, what the Department can do on its budget to help the teachers is for a merit-based promotion that should be automatic every 3 years and will not be dependent on the vacated positions by the retirees.
"Maraming teachers kasi Ted na nakapako na lang sa Teacher I kasi mapromote lang sila pag mayroong magre-retire o magpa-pass on na teacher so aakyat sila. So siguro sabi namin dapat merit-based, may magretire o hindi siguro every 3 years automatically 'yung teachers mapo-promote sya kasi ibig sabihin mayroon naman syang karanasan na, gumaling naman sya o kung mayroon syang special accomplishments," said Sec. Briones

Consistent MTAP Teacher for 20 Years, Demonstration Teacher in Teaching mathematics for Grade Six - Division Level, Winning coach in mathematics competitions grades 5 and 6, Fruit carving contest District and Division Level, slogan and poster making contest, pagsulat ng Sanaysay district and division level, madulang dayalogo dist and division level for Buwan Wika ,Declamation Winner in English festival of Talents ( pupil category), Director for Arts and Stage Decoration Chairman for many deped district and division events, illustrator of so many small books approved by deped, lesson plan writer, consistent election inspector, chairman of Grade Six Level, chairman of graduation event, with 33 units in MA, these are to name the 'few" still I am Teacher 1, please don't blame me why. ReplyDeleteDapat lng kasi na gawin nila ang parang promotion na gaya ng ched.. Basta may palel promote dapat.. Hindi daming kalaban..example mt1 vacant position completo ka ng papers at qualified ka doon pero dami mong kalaban..isa lng makuha.. Dto pumapasok sina palakasan tuwing may magpropromote.. Minsan na cause pa ito ng awayan sa mga guro dahil sa isang posistion e pareho naman silang qualified.. Sa ched pag may papel k promote ka wala ka pang kalaban..just sharing ang tunay na nangyayari sa atin 🙄

DeleteAng practice po dito sa amin ay pag reclassification po ay walang kalaban basta may available na item po sa school. Pag may nabakanteng item saka palang po nagrarank para mafill-in yng vacant position na naiwan ng guro na nagresign or namatay kc sayang kung ibabalik sa dbm ang item.

Pag reclassification si region ang final pero walang kalaban po basta lang may may available na items kaya may succession plan ang school pra alam kung sino ang next in line. Pag may sasakyang item na naiwan ng guro dahil namatay o nagresign saka po nagrarank para mapunan yng naiwang item ng guro. Ang division nman po ang may final decision para dito at ang tawag nila ay promotion.
DeleteAng alam ko po pwede pong mapromote ang teacher1 to T3 kung may natapos po siyang 33 units ng MA po. Apply po siya ng ERF.

Kasi po maraming benefits ang lahat ng regions except dto sa amin "ever since the world began" ika nga sa kanta especially nung HINDI PA BARMM...IN FAIRNESS kc ngayon na may mga changes kahit papano...sana po walang maiiwan l, we MOVE as ONE!

Isang teacher dito sa amin 38 yrs in service na may 5 books ng nagawa may autorship cert. galing sa NBDB.Lagi pang na aasign magturo sa mga lower section na bata pero until now teacher 1 magreretire nalang nasan ang pangako ng deped???
