Pinahayag ni DepEd Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla na plano nilang ibigay ng advance ang sahod at iba pang benefits ng mga guro hanggang sa buwan ng Hunyo.
"Alam naman natin sa ating empleyado o pamilya sa Department of Education halos umaabot na tayo sa isang milyon, siguro ang malaking tulong na magagawa natin under the instruction of our Secretary "Liling" Briones ay maibigay sa inyo ng maaga ang inyong mga sweldo at ang inyong mga benefits and other allowances," wika ni Usec. Sevilla
Ipinaliwag rin niya na sinisikap ng DepEd na maibigay ang lahat ng ito sa kabila ng limitado or skeletal workforce under admin and finance gayon din ang intermittent operations ng mga bangko.
"We did it for March, April, May, and until June we plan to do this as an advance salary and all other benefits," dagdag niya.
Binigyang diin ni Usec. Sevilla na ginagawa lahat ng DepEd ang paraan para masigurong mayroong ready cash ang lahat ng empleyado sa panahong ng quarantine.
