All public school teaching and non-teaching personnel shall render service starting June 1, 2020, as announced by DepEd Sec. Leonor Briones during the virtual briefing aired on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
Along with the confirmation that DepEd has already scheduled the opening of classes on August 24, 2020, Sec. Briones also stressed that public school teachers shall go back to work starting June 1, 2020 either virtually or physically depending on the current situations in their areas.
She explained that teachers will need to undergo training on the new lessons to be taught and strategies to use for the next school year.
"Sa June 1 to 30 magrereport na sila virtually or physically. Anong gagawin nila from June 1 to 30 at hanggang sa opening of classes in August? They will undergo capacity building sa mga bagong lessons para sa mga bata," said Briones.
