Marami sa mga private school teachers ang nangangamba na mawalan ng hanapbuhay dahil sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon ng ating bansa na direktang naapektuhan ang pribadong paaralan.
Ayon sa DepEd, mabibigyan ang mga gurong ito ng alternatibong trabaho sa ilalim ng Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Pinahayag ni Senator Alan Peter Cayetano na gagawing mga online tutors ng DepEd ang mga private school teachers na nawalan ng trabaho.
Ito ay bunga ng patuloy na pagkilos ng DepEd upang mabigyan ng tulong pang-ekonomiya ang mga gurong nawalan ng trabaho dahil sa krisis na ito. Dahil sa plano na hindi na muna magkakaroon ng face-to-face classes, ang pagiging online tutors ang nakita na maaaring ibigay na hanapbuhay sa mga gurong ito.
