DepEd allows work-from-home arrangement for teachers amid pandemic




The Department of Education reiterated that physical reporting to schools by teaching and non-teaching personnel are not required and highly discouraged even in low-risk areas during this pandemic.

The DepEd stressed that one of its priorities is the health and welfare of its personnel and that they are fully committed to doing so.

It also reminded all concerned individuals to refer to the official issuances from the department to maintain their safety and as legal references for this matter.

Meanwhile, the Teachers' Dignity Coalition (TDC) alleged that there are school officials who are requiring their teaching and non-teaching personnel to physically report to schools despite the issuance of DepEd Order and Memorandum.



The group urged the Department of Education to strictly implement the said directives to avoid comprising the health and safety of its personnel.

“This pandemic is a serious threat to life and safety of our teachers, thus, the DepEd should take this seriously as well,” - TDC.
