The Department of Education confirms that the hiring for 10,000 more public school teachers is currently on-going amid this crisis.
DepEd Undersecretary Jesus Mateo said that the recruitment process for new teaching positions has been going on since March and the application started in December of 2019. He also verified that this hiring is under the fund allocation approved by the Department of Budget and Management.
Online interviews are being conducted in order to facilitate the said recruitment.
