Did you know that President Duterte signed the revised Republic Act 10929 in August 2017? It is also known as “Free Internet Access in Public Places Act.”
This Act mandates the government to establish Free Internet Access in the following places and facilities:

- government offices
- public basic education institutions
- state universities and colleges
- public hospitals
- health centers
- airports and terminal
- other public places

Under the Program, the minimum internet speed per user is two megabits per second (2Mbps) or as prescribed by the National Broadband Plan, whichever is higher.
