President Duterte approves the fund allocation of P700 million to provide internet connectivity to 7,000 public schools in the country.
This action from the government is to support the plan of the Department of Education to the learning modalities it offers for the opening of classes come August 24, 2020. One of which is distance learning which will require the schools to have stable internet connection in order to cascade online learning instructions.

According to the president, DepEd is doing its job to provide internet connection for some 7,000 public schools nationwide to increase the total number of schools with proper internet connectivity.
“The target completion of the project, which costs P700 million, will be in 10 months,” said Duterte.
