The Department of Education will still accept late enrollees in all public schools in the country until the last week of September.
DepEd has recorded more than 20 million enrollees as of July 16, 2020. As compared to the previous enrollment, DepEd still lacks around 7 million enrollees. With that in mind, many have been asking if what will happen to those 7 million learners who were not able to enroll until July 15th as the last day of enrollment set by DepEd.

DepEd Undersecretary Jesus Mateo stressed that they will not extend the enrollment period in the country as learners may still enroll as long as they would complete at least 80% of the prescribed number of school days in the school year which, for the record, will fall on the last week of September.
