823 cases of COVID-19 among teachers, non-teaching personnel, and students - DepEd





During the online press conference held on Monday, DepEd disaster risk reduction services director Ronilda Co announced that there is a total of 823 COVID-19 cases among teachers, non-teaching personnel, and students. The are composed of  297 students, 340 teachers, and 186 non-teaching personnel.

Out of this 823, 310 are still active cases, 490 have recovered, while there are 23 deaths.

According to DepEd, very minimal of these cases were taken from their workplace. Most of which were contracted from their families or relatives.



DepEd, however, assures all its employees, students, and parents that they are doing their best to ensure safety in the workplace and the implementation of the learning continuity plan.
