The health and welfare of all teachers are still the priorities of the Department of Education despite the need to prepare for the rescheduled opening of classes come October 5.
Groups of teachers have been calling on to the DepEd to consider giving incentives and assistance to those teachers who are risking their safety and health just to render their utmost services for the continuity of education.
Hence, the DepEd Usec. Annalyn M. Sevilla recently announced that those teachers who are physically reporting to schools in places under ECQ and Modified ECQ shall receive a P500 per day as hazard pay.
This initiative from DepEd is mainly to help our teachers who are more than willing to be in the frontline to give their services when needed.
