As the opening of classes for this school year is just around the corner, the Department of Education clarified that teachers are not required to have an internet connection under the modular distance learning modality. Instead, they can use other means of technology to proceed to the teaching-learning process.
"Yung walang access sa internet can use other means, yung digital na flashdrives ang gagamitin mo kahit wala kang internet, ung may access ka sa digital copies na nalipat sa flashdrives o mga CDs ay pwede mo nang mabuksan yung iyong tinuturo," said DepEd Usec. Diosdado San Antonio.
Teachers' groups have been calling on to the DepEd to postpone the school opening this August 24, 2020, saying that the department is not yet ready for its opening.

I think we cannot do away with the internet because that is the trend now.For instance, our IPCRF could not be done without the internet plus the necessary gadget,as using cellphone alone is not applicable. Therefore every teacher must be equipped with the needed gadget as well as internet connectivity, precisely.I hope my basic salary would warrant to the financial demands of this endeavor specially on this new normal set-up.Thank you so much.
