All public school teachers need to be assured that their salaries and benefits will NOT be withdrawn in view of the pronouncement of the President. Here are the simple reasons:
1. The salary of public school teachers is embodied in the General Appropriations Act which is passed by Congress yearly. Thus salaries cannot be unilaterally withdrawn.
2. Teachers are entitled to security of tenure which is a constitutional right and which cannot be withdrawn without violating such right.
3. The pandemic and the suspension of classes do not operate to remove salaries and benefits of teachers unless they have either been dismissed or removed. On the contrary, our teachers are at the moment considered on vacation and starting June shall be working on alternative modes of teaching. So teachers will still be working.
4. Unless Congress removes the salaries of teachers from the national budget, there should be no qualms on whether teachers shall continue receiving their salaries and benefits.
5. Finally teachers are not in control of the the suspension of classes or the COVID threat.

ReplyDeleteNaiinggit sila sa mga teachers? Eh di magteacher din sila haha! Hay naku! As if naman nakahilata lang ang mga guro at walang ginagawa. Oh ano kayo ngayon? Nganga! Hehe!
ReplyDeletethank you very Atty.Wade A. Latawan for the very comprehensive explaination to all people who questioned teachers benefits...
ReplyDeleteTHANKS A LOT ATTORNEY, GOD BLESS PO AND KEEP SAFE ALWAYS
ReplyDeletetnxsomuch atty WADE A. LATAWAN for defending us tchrs for w/c we are doing our job even this pandemic thru online platforms. we can reach our learners so with the parents, etc. God bless. Keep safe everyone
ReplyDeleteMaraming naiinggit dahil patuloy nakakatanggap ng salary ang mga guro ng gobyerno...FYI marami pong ginagawa related to school work ang mga guro now kahit may pandemic di man sila nakikita na lagi pumupunta sa school may mga taskS yan sa bahay ang tawag ay Work From Home o WFH.
ReplyDeleteTeachers are part of work from home.. we had a lot of things to do in preparations of this incoming school year..FYI lang po meron po kami pinapasa na Daily Accomplishment report so ibigsabihin po nyan kahit di nyo po nakikita ang mga guro sa school ay may ginagawa po sila sa kanilang bahay... di po madali ang new normal.. we had a lot of adjustment to made... so stop questioning the salary of the teachers as if alam nyo ang situation nila... sa salary na pinagpapaguran lang po nin kami umaasa... and you know na wala nman tinatanggap na ayuda ang mga teachers .. exempted po kami and we absolutely understand that.. kasi para naman po yan sa nangangailangan.. kaya po maging busy na lang pi kayo sa kanya kanya po ninyong buhay at magdasal na lang po para matapos na ang pandemic na ito.. alisin po natin yang inggit na yan kasi di po ninyo ikauunlad yan.. salamat po.. and God bless .. stay safe po sa inyong lahat..
ReplyDeleteYes that's true. Teachers are doing everything. True! we are not in our own classroom and we do not have classes. but we are working beyond your expectations. As of now we are currently a temporary printing press. We are reproducing modules and Activity Learning Sheets for our pupils using our own resources. we need not to shout to the whole world bout all our activities but rest assured we are teachers and we are doing our best part as good citizen of the republic of the Philippines.
ReplyDeleteDont underestimated and insulted teachers for whatever happens such as covid pandemic. And be observant before you complain. And for you to know teachers are so much busy working at home. Instead of critizising the teaxhers focusnyour own life God bless you .
ReplyDeleteFocus now our universal problems not the salary that we received.
ReplyDeleteWala pa po akong malalaman as of now na 50% Ang tatanggapin naming sahod. For those who criticising the teacher instead of that po ay isipin natin Kung paano Tayo makakatawid sa ganitong situation Hindi Lang po Kayo Ang nahihirapan mas Lalo po kami dahil family vs student po Ang nakataya dito God bless po
