DepEd's Feeding Program to Continue amid Pandemic says DepEd

The Department of Education shall continue its feeding program despite the health risks brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

DepEd Undersecretary Annalyn M. Sevilla said on Monday that schools will not be having the traditional feeding program this school year. Instead, they will consider the local health situation for each school and will depend on it in providing healthy foods to around 1.7 million students nationwide.

Considering the health risks due to the pandemic, each school may conduct its own feeding procedure that will not compromise the health of both teachers and students.
