The House Bill 7285 also known as "Teachers' Utility Allowance Act" was filed by Eastern Samar Representative Maria Fe Abunda which seeks to provide teachers with utility allowance amid this pandemic.
Abunda stressed that this allowance will be of great help to teachers as they are tasked to accomplish numerous reports which require them to have a stable internet connection which seems to be a common problem for most of them.
She also emphasized that in these challenging times, it will not be practical for teachers to spend their personal income to pay for some internet bills which can cost too much considering their monthly salary.
