The Department of Education clarified that those teachers who spent their personal money in the reproduction of self-learning modules may get a refund as long as they keep the receipts. This is according to DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio.
“We understand that some teachers were not able to wait for the downloaded funds. According to the office of the undersecretary for finance, we can reimburse their expenses if they have receipts,” San Antonio said in an interview.
DepEd also explained that there is no need for the teachers and schools to ask for donations or spend their own money since there is a P9 billion allocation for the said reproductions.
As per the latest update, the DepEd has already distributed almost 80% of the SLMs.
