The Senate of the Philippines on Monday has approved Senate Bill No. 1092 which seeks to provide a P10,000 teaching supplies allowance for each public school teacher in the country in the span of four years. On the resumption of the session, senators unanimously approved the said bill which will ease the burden of the teachers in pursuing their mission of providing quality education to our young Filipinos.
Once this bill turns into a law, each public school teacher shall receive an allowance amounting to P5,000 starting the school year 2021-2022 and will increase to P7,500 on the succeeding school year until it reaches P10,000 by the year 2024.
This news brings joy and relief to the teachers as they all understand and realize the sacrifices they have to give in order to deliver meaningful learning experiences to their learners.
