Pres. Duterte approved the pilot implementation of face-to-face classes in January 2021


December 14, 2020 - President Rodrigo Duterte approved the conduct of pilot implementation of face-to-face classes in selected areas with low risks to COVID-19. This will run for the whole month of January 2021.

This pilot implementation of face-to-face classes will be under the strict health protocols and shall be under the shared responsibilities of DepEd, LGU, and parents. DepEd shall also make constant communications with the COVID-19 National Task Force (NTF) all throughout this dry run.

Here are the strict conditions to follow on these limited face-to-face classes:

1. Face-to-Face classes will only be allowed in low-risk areas.
2. Participation of learners in this dry run is voluntary and not compulsory. Parent's permit shall be submitted before allowing a student to participate.
3. Stringent health standards shall be followed.
4. Pilot testing and inspection will be observed.
5. F2F classes will start in January 2021.
