UPDATES on the release of SRI and implementation of SSL V


The Department of Education is currently communicating with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for the release of the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) in the sum of Two Billion Three Hundred Seventy-Five Million Two Hundred Sixteen Thousand Pesos (PHP 2,375,216,000.00) to partially cover the requirement in granting the FY 2020 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to all qualified DepEd's teaching and non-teaching personnel.

DepEd has also requested for the release of SARO amounting to One Billion Eight Hundred Ten Million Nine Hundred Sixty Five Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Pesos and 83/100 (PHP 1,810,965,960.83) to cover the deficiencies in the FY 2020 Personnel Services allocations of various DepEd Operating Units particularly for the payment of regular salaries and other compensation benefits of teaching and non-teaching personnel including the funding requirements for the implementation of the Salary Standardization Law (SSL) V.

With this, the department assures all its teaching and non-teaching personnel that they are doing all the appropriate steps and processes to release the uniform amount of SRI (10,000/personnel) following the (AO) 37 from the Malacañang.
