As per the latest update from DepEd Undersecretary Annalyn M. Sevilla, the clothing allowance for DepEd employees shall be given not earlier than the first working day of every year. This shall be April 5, 2021 for this school year 2021-2022.
Usec. Sevilla also made it clear that the SY 2021-2022 shall be considered a "transition period" where employees are given ample time to prepare for the new set of prescribed uniforms and will also be allowed to use the old uniform design.
But all employees shall be required to wear the new sets of uniforms starting the school year 2022-2023.
As for the final design of the new uniforms, employees are advised to wait for its official issuance which is expected to come out before April 2021.
