DepEd employees can use a total of P12,000 to prepare for the new set of uniforms. The said amount shall be composed of this year's clothing allowance and the next year.
This is according to Usec. Annalyn Sevilla in response to the queries of some teachers with regard to the timetable in preparing for the said uniforms which can take months for the dressmakers/tailors to finish considering the numbers of teachers who will simultaneously go to them.
"don’t worry much... transition year pa naman tayo this year. We have until the next next SY22-23 to prepare for this. We have been very flexible already. You can use a total of 12k clothing allowance (this year and the next) and more or less about another SY period to prepare for this new set of uniforms ... 😉", said Sevilla.
The release of this year's clothing allowance for teachers shall begin not earlier than April 5, 2021 amounting to P6,000 per eligible DepEd employee, another P6,000 will be added the following year which will be a total of P12,000 per eligible employee. This is actually a long period of preparation with a good amount of allowance for the employees to use.
