The Department of Education has started the release of the clothing allowance for DepEd employees for this year. Each eligible employee is set to receive a P6,000 allowance to be used for the new set of uniforms.
As announced by the DepEd, the release of the said allowance shall begin on the 5th day of April 2021. Many employees from different regions and divisions have confirmed that they have just received it.
Meanwhile, DepEd Usec. Annalyn M. Sevilla reminded the employees, especially the teachers, that they have a long period of preparation to complete the new set of uniforms pointing out that this year serves as the transition period including the following year. She emphasized that employees can use this year's P6,000 allowance and the next year's allowance to a total of P12,000.
All DepEd employees are expected to wear the new set of uniforms by the SY 2022-2023.
