The Department of Education eyes to expand the implementation of face-to-face classes in all grade levels in the country by January next year. This will be based on the results of the existing pilot implementation of face-to-face classes in the selected schools nationwide.
DepEd Undersecretary Nepomunceno Malaluan explained that they are looking to expand the pilot phase in all grade levels from the current Kindergarten to Grade 3 Levels.
“With the condition that it will not depart from the pilot character, we are accelerating the completion of the pilot phase. We intend to submit our report to the President by the end of December. We anticipate the recommendation of an expansion by next year,” said Malaluan in an interview on One News.
However, he pointed out that they will be expecting numerous challenges along the way when the said expansion is pushed.
President Duterte has already given its authority to the DepEd and DOH in determining the possible schools to participate in the expanded pilot implementation of face-to-face classes.
