President Rodrigo Duterte signed the Memorandum Circular No. 94 authorizing the government offices to reduce the on-site workforce or their temporary closure due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country, especially the Omicron variant.
The memorandum states that the department heads are authorized to decide on the reduction of their on-site workforce or even temporary closure depending on the alert level system in their areas.
