Presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. pledged to grant public school teachers with higher monthly salary should he wins the incoming national elections.
Marcos has already filed Senate Bill No. 3106 way back in 2012 or An Act Upgrading the Minimum Salary Grade of Public School Teachers from Salary Grade 11 to 15 but unfortunately, it did not pass on the first reading.
In the year 2013, he then again pushed for the increase of teachers' salaries from Salary Grade 11 to Salary Grade 15 under Senate Bill No. 109.
He stressed that if he gets to win in the upcoming elections, he will not only provide better salaries for teachers but will also provide free training and scholarships to their children.
“We need to provide our teachers with all the necessary support because they were the ones who were molding our young students to become better, responsible and productive citizens who in turn would become the country’s future leaders,” he said.
