A group of teachers demands enough rest before the opening of classes for the school year 2022-2023

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT), through Representative France Castro, said that public school teachers will not be having their most needed rest as the enrollment begins on July 25, 2022 as per DepEd Order No. 34, s. 2022 or the School Calendar and Activities for School Year 2022-2023.

Castro also stressed that the said DepEd Order does include additional compensation for teachers who will be attending school during their vacation period in order to prepare for the opening of classes that are set to be on August 22, 2022.

In addition to this, teachers are still working on several paperworks from the recent school year according to Castro.
