GOOD NEWS! Increase in Teaching Supplies Allowance up to P10,000 for Each Teacher, APPROVED on Final Reading

 GOOD NEWS! The Teaching Supply Allowance (TSA) is set to receive a boost thanks to the unanimous approval of the "Kabalikat ng Pagtuturo Act" by the Senate. 

Under this bill, the TSA will gradually increase from PHP5,000 to PHP7,500 for the upcoming school year 2023-2024, and then to PHP10,000 starting from the following school year 2024-2025. Best of all, these allowances will be tax-free.

This representation calls the House Leadership to also expedite the approval of the counterpart version of this bill (Teaching Supplies Act) in the House of Representatives, filed by ACT Teachers Party-list aiming to grant P10,000 increase in supplies allowance.
