The Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives has recently passed the bill that establishes the granting of teaching supplies allowance to public school teachers.
The bill proposes a step-by-step increase in the allowance, starting from the current amount of P5,000 to P7,500 per teacher for School Year (SY) 2023-2024, and further increasing to P10,000 per teacher for SY 2024-2025 and all the following school years.
