A group of public school teachers has delivered their Christmas wish list for the education sector and topping its list is to remove the extra paperwork that burdens the teachers on their everyday job.
The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) expressed its desire to eliminate the Results-based Performance Management System (RPMS) and Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form (IPCRF) from their duties. This would enable them to concentrate better on their teaching responsibilities.
The Department of Education (DepEd) is set to release guidelines for the removal of teachers' ancillary tasks by the end of the year. Only then will they know if their wish will be fulfilled.
