The Department of Education has sent a letter to the office of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recommending to end the school year 2024-2025 in March 2025. This "aggressive" recommendation covers the clamor for a faster reversion to the old-school calendar.
DepEd spokesperson Asec. Francis Bringas said during the Senate inquiry into the effects of extreme heat in schools that the agency has already sent a formal letter to the President "in response to the recent clamor for a more immediate reversion to the April-May school break".
“In the meantime, we respectfully appeal to the committee to allow the President time to study the options carefully,” Bringas added.

Sad to say.
