AN ORDER SUSPENDING FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES AT ALL LEVELS OF EDUCATION IN THE PROVINCE OF SULTAN KUDARAT DUE TO SEVERE HEAT CONDITIONS EXPERIENCED HEREIN, EFFECTIVE APRIL 1 TO APRIL 15, 2024

WHEREAS, the Province of Sultan Kudarat has been experiencing extreme heat conditions, with temperatures reaching levels that pose health and safety risks to students, teachers, and school personnel;

WHEREAS, the health and well-being of the students, teachers, and the entire school community are of paramount importance and must be protected during adverse weather conditions;

WHEREAS, it is imperative to take proactive measures to ensure the safety of all individuals within the educational sector in the Province of Sultan Kudarat;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Raden C. Sakaluran, Vice Governor and Acting Governor of the Province of Sultan Kudarat, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law and in the interest of public welfare, do hereby order the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private schools in the Province of Sultan Kudarat from April 1, 2024, until April 15, 2024.

The two (2) Schools Division Superintendent, all school administrators, teachers, parents, and students are strongly urged to prioritize safety and take necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of extreme heat during this period. Alternative modes of learning and teaching may be implemented to ensure continuity in education while face-to-face classes are suspended.

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately and shall be disseminated to all concerned parties for their information and compliance.
