RESULT OF DBM-GCG STUDIES ON SALARY INCREASE
Q: May umento ba ngayong 2024?
A: Meron. Magiging bahagi ito ng SSL VI na ayon sa DBM ay retroactive to January ngunit kailangan pa ang approval ng pangulo.
Senator Jinggoy Estrada has recently filed Senate Bill No. 2611 or the "Salary Standardization Law (SSL) VI".
The proposed "Salary Standardization VI", Senate Bill No. 2611, seeks to grant increases to the basic salary of government workers, to be given in four (4) tranches. This will allow them to cope with the continually rising prices of basic commodities and services to be able to continue to provide decent living to their families. More importantly, the proposed bill intends to convey the government's gratitude for their selfless service and utmost dedication to their work.
The proposed measure will make the compensation of government workers competitive, thus helping retain the incumbent employees and attract applicants at the same time. Through this, we can expect a more vibrant and robust civil service in the country.
