The mid-year bonus for government employees will be part of the initial installment of their salary increase scheduled for release this year.
Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandman shared this information on Monday, following the announcement that the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has issued the guidelines for the raise.
"Retroactive from January, the mid-year bonus is also included," Pangandaman mentioned to reporters in an impromptu interview at Malacañang.
She mentioned that the funds could be made available as early as August 2024, contingent upon the actions of government agencies.
“So it’s up to the departments now, agencies at lahat na mag-implement ng adjustment para mapabilis ang pag release ng adjustments na ito,” she added.
