DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla encouraged the Local Chief Executives in areas affected by the Super Typhoon Pepito to suspend classes on Monday at all levels.
In his most recent post, Remulla warned the public of the possible storm surge, especially in coastal areas. He also instructed the coastal barangay residents to evacuate now as the threat of the incoming super typhoon is highly destructive.
It is projected that "Pepito" is set to move towards the eastern part of Samar Island, Catanduanes, Cam Sur, and Quezon.
This super typhoon will also affect other major areas, such as NCR, Cavite, Bulacan, Rizal, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Quirino, Benguet, Zambales, and La Union.
