Following the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to increase the teachers' SRI to P20,000, Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) instructed the relevant departments within the DBM to explore feasible ways to increase the said incentive, while considering economic constraints and responsibilities.
The SRI is an annual financial incentive provided to government employees to honor their dedication and commitment to delivering high-quality and responsive public service.
“I and the entire DBM family wholeheartedly welcome this directive from the President, as we, ourselves, fully recognize the profound role our teachers play as architects of our society’s future,” Sec. Pangandaman said.
