President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has instructed the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Education (DepEd Philippines) to collaborate in enhancing the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for public school teachers.
Acknowledging the vital contribution of teachers in shaping the youth of the Philippines, the government intends to raise the SRI for approximately 1,011,800 DepEd employees from P18,000 to P20,000.
