In a bid to uphold professionalism and maintain a focused learning environment, the Department of Education (SDO Zamboanga Del Sur) has reiterated its prohibition on video recording, vlogging, and the inclusion of students in any video content during class or office hours.
Teachers and other employees are strictly reminded to avoid recording or streaming videos for personal or public sharing while on duty. This directive aims to prevent distractions, safeguard student privacy, and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of quality education.
The policy aligns with several DepEd orders, including:
DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 – Child Protection Policy, which safeguards learners from unauthorized exposure on digital platforms.
DepEd Order No. 83, s. 2003 – Prohibiting mobile phone use during class hours to minimize distractions.
DepEd Order No. 5, s. 2024 – Emphasizing that teachers' working hours should be dedicated to teaching and related tasks.
By enforcing these guidelines, DepEd aims to maintain a professional and distraction-free educational setting while ensuring student welfare and data privacy.
